Beer #70: Starting the Year off Right With a.... Little Sumpin (Lagunitas)

Name: Little Sumpin'
Type: Sumpin' Ale
Brewer: Lagunitas
IBU: 64
ABV:7.5%
Grade: B+
From the Brewer:  We’ve watched with some amusement as the internet beer rating sites argues over how to ‘classify’ it. Wheat beer? Sure. Smooth IPA? You got it. Silky wheatly-esque-ish-ness? Definitely. We’re in the camp with Japhy Ryder when he declares to Ray Smith that “Comparisons are odious!”
A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin IPA is 50% wheat, 50% malted Barley, and 100% delicious hoppiness. Hints of bubblegum, pineapple, light cedar & pine. Tons of tropical fruitiness with none of the fruit!

My Thoughts: I really like this beer. Not quite an IPA it carries a bitter punch with it. But it always draws me back again. Good beer!
